Dr Tunji Odebiyi is a consummate Researcher, Psychologist, Training and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) specialist. With over thirty (30) years of requisite experience, he has served in various senior management capacities in B2B, bilateral agencies and consultancy organisations. As a practising professional, he possesses first-hand working knowledge of all the 36 States in Nigeria; and also has project experience in Africa and overseas. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Research and Development Services Limited.
Dr. Tunji has effectively managed and evaluated various development projects and programs from proposal to (post) implementation. He possesses technical expertise and core competencies in research, management/leadership training, strategic planning and project management. His professional experiences largely comprise: C.O.O. – Research and Development Services; Principal Partner – Procon Consulting Services (Nigeria, USA), Director: Research and Strategic Planning -Campaign Palace Ltd.; Senior Research Manager -Research International -Nigeria; Project Coordinator of a UNEP/IIED Study and Researcher: Leiden Univ./Manchester Univ.’s Tripod Project in Gabon, Nigeria and The Netherlands.
His consultancy experience includes but not limited to USAID, World Bank, DFID, The British Council, Defence, Shell, ExxonMobil, Flour Mills Nigeria, Maersk, PriceWaterCooper; and specific to EAP, he has consulted for Compsych (Global), Work Place Options, StopStress (USA), LifeAssist (South Africa) and Procter & Gamble (Nigeria) among others.
In his civic responsibilities, Tunji Odebiyi co-founded VirginsPride Network (a girl-child/youth mentoring NGO), he is a founding and current executive member of Employee Assistance Professionals Association-Nigeria. He serves as Lagos Director of Good Samaritan Ministries (a US-based help organisation); he is an ex-efficio in his Community Development Association and he was a volunteer for Lagos State Government COVID-19 Relief Intervention and LASUTH-EAPAN COVID-19 Psychological First Aid. Recently, in 2015, he served as a member of Kaduna State Transition Committee and he has presented scholarly papers and lectures in various fora including “Poverty and Socio-Economic Exclusion in Nigeria” at the 2021 Governor Seyi Makinde’s National Democracy Summit.
As an humanitarian and community worker coupled with his membership of numerous (professional) associations, Tunji is a perpetual learner, scholar, mentor and a life coach.
He is currently the National President for the Employee Assistance Program Association Nigeria (EAPAN).
